Turn a Word Document Into a Presentation With AI

You've written the report. Now someone wants it presented on Thursday, and nobody in that meeting is going to read 30 pages. You need the short version, as slides.

PPTX.ai writes that short version for you: new slides that say what matters in the document, not the pages copied onto slides.

Two ways to start from Word

Save it as a PDF. PPTX.ai reads PDFs. In Word, choose File, then Save As (or Export on a Mac), and pick PDF. In Google Docs, use File, then Download, then PDF. Then open the studio, name your presentation, open Start from a PDF and attach it.

Paste an outline. If your document has clear headings, or you have a short outline, you don't need a PDF at all. Paste the text into the studio and ask for slides: "Make this into eight slides for the leadership meeting." PPTX.ai writes slides in Markdown, so headings and bullet points carry straight over.

Tell it what the talk is for

Starting from a PDF, you choose how many slides, quiz questions and polls you want. You can also add a focus, which makes the biggest difference: "The recommendations and the budget, for the board, in ten minutes." That turns a summary of everything into a talk with a point.

Then make it yours

• Edit any slide yourself. Open it and change the words. That doesn't use any credits.
• Ask for changes. "Make slide three shorter." "Turn the last slide into a quote." "Add a slide on next steps."
• Describe the look. "Our brand colours, navy and orange, lots of white space."
• Add speaker notes. They show on your screen while you present, and nobody else sees them.

Hear from the room

A report presentation usually ends with "Any questions?" and silence. PPTX.ai can put a question in front of the room instead. Add a poll before the recommendations ("Which of these should we do first?") and everyone answers on their phone. The results appear on the screen behind you, so the discussion starts from what the room actually thinks.
