PPTX.ai vs
PowerPoint with Copilot
If your work runs on Microsoft 365, Copilot can draft a deck from a prompt or a Word document, and the result is a real PowerPoint file. PPTX.ai doesn’t make files. It makes a presentation that the room takes part in, with the polls and quizzes written for you.
- PowerPoint with Copilot · Microsoft
- Microsoft PowerPoint, with Copilot writing slides from a prompt or a document.
- PPTX.ai

01 / The short answer
Which one is for you?
Choose PowerPoint with Copilot if
- You need a .pptx file, or your organisation presents everything in PowerPoint.
- You already pay for Microsoft 365 with Copilot.
- You need PowerPoint’s animation, slide masters and fine layout control.
Choose PPTX.ai if
- You want the questions written with the slides, not built separately in Forms.
- You want quizzes with a leaderboard, word clouds and sliders, made for phones.
- You don’t have a Microsoft 365 Copilot plan, or want to start free.
02 / The same talk, made two ways
A talk with a poll
and a quiz in it.
Here is how you would put one together in each.
With PowerPoint with Copilot
- Draft with CopilotFrom a prompt or a Word file. Starting from a PDF needs a work Copilot licence.
- Add a form for questionsWrite a poll or quiz in Microsoft Forms and insert it on a slide.
- Present itPeople scan the form’s QR code; results show on the slide.
With PPTX.ai
- Describe it, or attach a PDFOne request covers the slides, the polls and the quiz.
- Change what you likeEdit a slide yourself, or ask the assistant. Describe the look you want.
- Present itThe room scans a QR code and answers on their phones. You reveal the results.
03 / In the room
The questions belong to the talk.
In PPTX.ai the assistant writes the poll and the quiz with the slides, in the same design, and the room answers them on their phones.
These are real PPTX.ai slides: the big screen behind you, and a phone in the audience.
Example: the poll “Which shift would you pick?” filling in on the big screen as people answer on their phones.

06 / Questions
People also ask.
Is PPTX.ai better than Copilot in PowerPoint?
They are for different jobs. Copilot drafts a PowerPoint file inside the tool your company already uses. PPTX.ai writes a presentation with polls and quizzes in it and runs them live, but it doesn’t make PowerPoint files.
Can I open a PPTX.ai presentation in PowerPoint?
No. PPTX.ai presentations are built and presented in the browser. If you need a .pptx file, PowerPoint is the right tool.
Can PowerPoint run a live poll?
Yes, with Microsoft Forms: you insert a form on a slide and people scan its QR code. In PPTX.ai the poll is part of the presentation, written by the assistant along with the slides.
